What is the required bleed?

The required bleed for all appropriate projects is 1/8" or .125".

What class of mail can I send my pieces?

First-Class Mail: First-Class Mail is processed by the USPS with the highest priority. It goes to the front of the line; ahead of the other classes of mail. Locally, First-Class will typically be delivered within 1 - 2 business days, and nationally it will be delivered in 3 business days. If an addressee has moved, your mail will be forwarded at no additional cost for a period of one year from when the move occured. If a piece is undeliverable, it will be returned to you at no additional charge, and it will include the reason that it was not delivered. This is the most expensive mail class. Presorted First-Class Mail: Presorted First-Class Mail provides the same speed and level of service as First-Class but also offers postage savings when mailing 500 or more mailpieces. To receive the lower postage rate, the addresses must be NCOA updated, CASS certified, and sorted into "presort" order. Standard Mail (aka USPS Marketing Mail): Standard Mail is the current term for bulk mail. Unlike First-Class Presorted, which requires at least 500 pieces, Standard Mail only requires 200 pieces to qualify. It is processed by the USPS on a lower priority basis than First-Class and there is NO GUARANTEED delivery time. Local mail is typically delivered in about 1 - 14 business days, and national mail is typically delivered in the period somewhere between 7 days and 3 weeks. Because of this, Standard Mail is not recommended if you have a specifically dated event or expiration date. Standard Mail is not forwarded if the addressee has moved and it's not returned if undeliverable. This is the least expensive option unless you are a registered Non-Profit with the USPS. Non-Profit Mail: Non-Profit Mail is simply a reduced postage rate within Standard Mail made available to those organizations that qualify for a non-profit status.

Is there a minimum purchase requirement?

No. There is no minimum purchase required. We've printed as little as 50 cards and as many as thousands at a time. While there is no minimum to print, there are minimums to qualify for postage discounts if you are planning to mail your postcards.

Direct Mail Questions

What is direct mail?

Direct mail marketing is a strategy in which a business sends a mail piece to a specific group of prospects to inform them of an offer or product. Marketers can choose the specific audience they want to target by compiling (or purchasing) a specialty direct mail mailing list. These lists generally target prospects by zip code and/or demographics. Common types of direct mail include postcards, letters, brochures, and flyers.

Can I receive a free direct mail quote?

Yes, all of our quotes are free. Please contact us with any questions or custom projects so we are able to provide you with an accurate quote.

What type of postage do I use?

Precanceled Stamps: You use these exactly like you would normal stamps (i.e. you manually stick one on every mail piece. What makes them different is that they are in a smaller denomination than regular stamps, to account for your discounts. If your actual postage comes out to be more than the precanceled stamp is worth, you simply pay the difference when you mail, without needing to affix additional stamps. Postage Meter: A postage meter is a machine you can buy that enables you to print your postage right onto your mail piece without needing stamps. Metering a piece can give you a postage discount, though it is still more expensive in some cases. Permit Imprint: Permit imprints are the simplest form of postage payment. They are preprinted on the upper right corner of your mail piece and provide the USPS with all the information needed. While many places require you to have your own permit, we are able to provide you with our own allowing you to save money on permit fees.

How much is postage?

Postage rates are constantly changing and determined by consumer location, piece size, quantity mailed, and class of mail If you're unsure as to what your postage is we'll be happy to provide you with an estimated total.

Do I need to buy labels?

No! Unless specifically requested, physical labels are a thing of the past. Using our high volume inkjets we print all the necessary information directly onto the piece.
